Kapish Email · Automations
Email automations for WooCommerce and Shopify
Abandoned cart, welcome, browse, and wait-for-event — drawn as a real flow. Connect the WordPress plugin or Shopify, then turn the journey on. Shoppers live in Customers. Mail goes out through Kapish.
Built for Indian D2C and store brands that already sell on Woo or Shopify and do not want a second ESP, SMTP plugin, or theme paste.
- No theme paste
- No merchant SMTP
- One store per business
What you can run
Flows, not a pile of campaigns
Each automation is a canvas: a trigger, optional delays, wait-for-event branches, then a campaign you already designed.
Abandoned cart
A cart event starts the flow. Wait an hour, send the recovery email, then wait for purchase — or branch if they never check out.
Welcome & custom events
Name an event such as order_paid or account_created. Fire it from the plugin, Shopify, or a test. Wait-for-event splits if it happens or times out.
Browse & back in stock
The WooCommerce tracker captures the product photo, price, and link. Back-in-stock waitlist emails reuse that product without a theme block.
Visual canvas
Trigger, delay, wait-for-event, then email. Same language as a modern ESP — drawn as a real flow inside Kapish, not a stack of forms.
Campaigns you reuse
Design once, broadcast or attach to a flow. Merge tags, unique coupons, and store currency follow the shopper.
No merchant SMTP
Kapish sends. You verify DNS and the from-address. Checkout stays on Woo or Shopify — Kapish does not take card payments.
Connect the store
WordPress plugin for WooCommerce — Shopify in the same desk
The plugin only forwards store events. Automations, templates, and sending stay in Kapish. Shopify does not use this zip — it connects with an Admin API token.
WooCommerce
Kapish Email Marketing for WooCommerce
Independent WordPress plugin. Not an official WooCommerce.com product. You need a Kapish account to send.
Shopify
Admin API — no WordPress install
In Kapish, open Marketing → Email → Stores. Save the shop URL and Admin API token. Orders, checkout, and customer events enroll the same automations.
- Create the ecommerce business in Kapish and pick Shopify.
- Paste your-shop.myshopify.com and the Admin token.
- Sync once, then turn the flow on. Currency follows the shop.
How it works
Three steps from plugin to live flow
Connect
Woo plugin or Shopify token. Verify the from-address in Kapish — never SMTP.
Draw the journey
Pick a trigger, drop delays and wait-for-event, attach a campaign.
Turn it on
Live events enroll shoppers. Fire a test event first if you want to watch it land.
Compare thoughtfully
Versus a typical ESP plus a cart plugin
Kapish Email is the send engine next to your store CRM — not another silo of contacts.
| Capability | Typical setups | With Kapish |
|---|---|---|
| Connect WooCommerce | Theme snippet, functions.php, or a third SMTP plugin | Official Kapish zip — upload, activate, paste three fields |
| Abandoned cart | Separate cart app plus a different ESP | Cart event enrolls the same flow that sends the email |
| Wait for purchase | Fixed delay only, or another tool for branching | Wait-for-event node: purchase happens, or the timeout path sends |
| Shopify | Another app, another login, another bill | Same Kapish Email desk — store URL and Admin token |
| Shoppers vs campaigns | Contacts trapped inside the ESP | Shoppers in Customers; Email is the send engine |
FAQ
Questions before you install the plugin
Does Kapish send email through my WooCommerce or Shopify SMTP?
No. Mail goes out through Kapish. You connect the store and verify a from-address. You never paste SMTP, Mailgun, or theme snippets into WordPress.
What does the WordPress plugin actually do?
Kapish Email Marketing for WooCommerce is a connector. It registers webhooks, tracks cart and browse events, and forwards them to Kapish. Automations, templates, and contacts live in Kapish — not in WordPress.
Do I paste code into functions.php or the theme?
No. Upload the plugin zip, activate it, then paste the Kapish site URL, business ID, and webhook secret from Marketing → Email → Stores. Never edit the theme.
Which automations can I run after connect?
Abandoned cart, browse abandonment, welcome, post-purchase, back-in-stock waitlist, and custom events you name yourself. Each flow can delay, wait for an event, then send a campaign.
Does Shopify use the same WordPress plugin?
No. Shopify connects with the store URL and Admin API token in Kapish. WooCommerce uses the WordPress plugin. One connected store per business. Currency follows the shop.
Where do shoppers live — Email or Customers?
Shoppers sync into Customers. Marketing Email is campaigns, automations, and store connection. Campaigns send to the same audience you filter in Customers.
